PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE

As a credit union, we are committed to doing what is best for our community. It's part of our guiding principle, "People helping people". When you partner with us you partner with our community too!

HERE'S WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO THIS YEAR!

Through donations from our members and volunteering from our employees, we have proudly been able to support several local charities and organizations.

SNOW MUCH FUN | SUPPORTING CHALLENGE ALASKA

Record snowfall called for SNOW MUCH FUN! During the month of January, we challenged our Facebook community to share photos of themselves enjoying the beautiful snow! For every comment, we donated $10 to Challenge Alaska

Challenge Alaska is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Alaskans living with disabilities through adaptive sports and therapeutic recreation. They have a multitude of sports programming that is entirely made up of volunteers. Challenge Alaska is always looking for new enthusiastic and reliable individuals!

At the end of our campaign, we treated some of the Challenge Alaska volunteers to lunch, presented them with $1500, and a banner that highlighted the many beautiful people in our community who supported them through the SNOW MUCH FUN event!

HEART FOR THE HUNGRY | SUPPORTING ANCHORAGE SCHOOL DISTRICT

Spring break is meant to be a time for fun, sun, and a break from structured school routines. Unfortunately, spring break is a grueling week for many students in our area with a lack of proper nutrition.
During the month of February, we raised donations to help a student right here in Anchorage. All proceeds were used to purchase and assemble food boxes for students to take home during spring break!
We had a blast connecting with 7 different schools here in Anchorage. Together with our members we were able to raise over $6,000 and provided 220 families with food boxes! Check out our video on Facebook for a closer look into our campaign!

SPREAD INCLUSION | SUPPORTING SPECIAL OLYMPICS OF ALASKA

During the month of March, the credit union took an intentional focus on 'INCLUSION'. Staff came together and pledged to help spread inclusion in our workplace and in our community so that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are not left out! Along with the pledges we raised over $500 for the Special Olympics of Alaska!
